Hanoi is the 2nd biggest city of Vietnam, but it is the capital city. Although the life there is very bustling and crowded with people rush to work everyday, yet Hanoi has many beautiful historical and cultural spot that can bring you the inner peace. Some of the places to be named are the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, One pillar pagoda, Hoan Kiem lake, West lake and many other museums… Since 2016, the walking street in the Old quarters has been opened , and you will definitely find that it is very interesting.

Best time to go:
In Hanoi, we have 4 seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The best time to go is from October to March as the weather is not so hot. Because Vietnam is a tropical country, so it is very hot in the summer, especially from May to August. The autumn from September to November is the best season here with trees shedding leaves and the weather is cool.
How to travel to Hanoi:
Of course airplanes are the fastest and easiest way to get to Hanoi. The Noi Bai airport is located in the countryside, so to get to the centre of the city, you can take a public bus number 17 to Long Bien, and then move to your hotel b on foot, by bus, or take a taxi. Long Bien station is very near the Old quarter where many tourists choose to stay.
Other buses that you can take from the airport to the city center are Bus number 7, 90, 86.

Where to stay:
You can search and book the hotel from the reputation app like booking.com, tripadvisor.com or agoda.com. There are many hostels in Hanoi with cheap price, you can find them with sign “Nha Nghi”, the price often fluctuates from 200.000 VND to 300.000 VND/1 night, without meals, but it does fully equip with air conditioner, TV, wifi free and other room services. Do remember to make a bargain before booking the room.
Vehicles in Hanoi:
The best vehicle is a motorbike. You can rent a motorbike in the old quarter and then driving around to explore Hanoi. The traffic in Hanoi is very crazy, so please make sure to drive carefully.
Other way is to get a bus. There is many buses that can take you around Hanoi and at every bus station, it always has a map with the information board of the bus.
You can walk in the old quarter and enjoy watching the life style of ancient Hanoi with many street food. If you want, you can try pedicab, often called xich lo, an old way of traveling.
